I FOLLOWED

Into the slippery silence she walked,
The walk seemed to be endless.
And in captivity of her elegance, I followed.

Now into the woods she deviated,
Engulfed into the darkness she made her way.
And in captivity of her charm, I followed.

The blackness was tough,
Yet not enough to beat down her radiance,
And in captivity of her grace, I followed.

A subtle, unreal lament encumbered me,
She quit her robe in the cold night.
And in captivity of her temptation, I followed.

The tall spruce seemed divine,
With their boughs bestowed upon us.
And in captivity of her fragrance, I followed.

She stopped and I did too,
She turned to me with teary eyes.
And in captivity of her blue eyes, I followed.

I soaked her tears and watched motionless,
She turned away and departed.
And in captivity of her innocence, I followed.

Nearing the cliff, on its edge she stood.
She gave me one last glance and let go herself.
And in captivity of her love, I followed.

SCENE OF A NIGHT

The calm and the lush green lawn
Is moaning at the advent of the dawn
It hates to see the light
Overcomming the haunted night
Theres no way to delay
The arrival of the day
The past night will never be back again
Neither will this world ever see such men
The wind is lost in this thought-
"Was there a way to avoid the battle fought?"
The helpless damsels are crying,
As in their arms, their beloved is dying.
The battleground is soaked in blood.
As earlier it was, yet in clay and in mud.
The corpse of the dead will forever live,
In the midst of the primitive.
To the enchanted souls and their death knell,
Bids the silent morning- A farewell.
Prayers for the dead will be sent above,
In the honour of their maidens' love.
The memory of the people will hold tight
Onto this scene of a night.

NEVER AGAIN

The pain remained concealed in her blue eyes
She was donning a masquerade of comfort
She used her warmth as deciet
Her love was so forceful that I lay helpless
Had I known that this was the very last time
It would'nt be the same
I have hot tears in my eyes
When I recall her silken tresses
That she flung to my face so often
I help her arm and it was warm
Warm, as warm as her love for me
And then kissed her under the haunts of the nightsky
The songbird sang to us
The song seemed to be the sweetest ever heard
But it was my obfuscation to find it sweet
With each chirp of the songbird
My beloved was nearing her end
The song was not in honour of her grace but her demise
With the closing night we closed our eyes
When I woke I had her sleeping besides me in the splendid moors
But she was never to wake.. Never again.

LAMENTATIONS

In the deafening silence,
Lamentations of the forlorn
Could be heard.
She let loose her auburn tresses
And the winds fiddled.
The moon beat down the stone,
The gleam though emanated
From her cold, cold face.
Engulfed in a sorrow,
Our eyes crossed to meet.
Helplessness unconcealed in dampness

Her robe fluttered to me...
There she stood- daintily
Elegance before my timid dignity.
Amid the roar of quiet,
Nothing to be said
Just and only but to hear.
Her limbs reached
Out to soak my tears.
I wanted to return the favour
But she rendered a comfort,
One that I couldn't leave.
My face in her cold, cold hands
Lost somewhere in an eternity
