CIVILISED MINDS

I’ve been marooned on the screen
Where life helplessly logs in
Searching of a wreck-loose identity
Tagged to places where I’ve never been

This forgetful mind only creates
In the fear of remembering too much
And follows the conventional way
Even forgetting to mind as such

Like smoking without the will too die
Like leaving without a last goodbye
Like wearing clothes inside out
Like answering in puzzled rhymes

Painted between smoky streetlights
Where horny vehicles move languidly
Where traffic lights inspect patience
And where routine becomes a dream

While schools and colleges try
To educate people and to divide
The streets test aged lessons
Revealing mentalities of civilised minds
