I've waited like an overcoat
Since Summer walked in
To fill our cold lives
With more warmth than required
Reeling through dreamy mornings
I have remained stacked
In the far back corners
Of an untouched closet
While Spring fondled your hair
With its airy fingers
My arms grew patiently
Inwards, to insulate the cold
This weather will always change
Along the sunshine and rain
So when winter comes home again
I'll be just a wear away
